Today we are talking all about value based care and alternative payment models. The transition from payment for the volume of care provided to payment for the value that care brings, is here to stay and as compliance officers we need to get our arms around these new payment models in order to determine how they impact our organizations and our compliance programs. So today I’m going to talk about where to begin. First we'll discuss how to evaluate the compliance program requirements associated with value based care and alternative payment models, and what steps you need to take to ensure your program addresses the risks and program requirements associated with the programs. And second, I am going to identify ways to help take your compliance program beyond the core components and identify strategies and opportunities for operational integration.
